Invoice Extractor pulls the header and line items out of invoice PDFs, lets you correct them, and exports them to Excel or an Ariba upload file. It runs offline from a single file in your browser. Your invoices are never uploaded.

What it does
- Offline PDF reading
- Extracts text from invoice PDFs on your computer. A second edition adds on-device text recognition for scanned invoices.
- Edit before you export
- Review and correct invoice headers and line items, add your own fields, and require the ones you cannot do without.
- Reusable templates
- Mark where a supplier puts its fields once, and reuse that layout for the next invoice from the same supplier.
- Excel and Ariba exports
- Export to Excel with the original invoice pages on a separate tab, or to an Ariba-style upload file. Manual accounting codes are left blank on purpose.
- Library and backups
- Search the invoices you have processed, and save an encrypted backup of your workspace that you can restore later.

What you need
- A current desktop web browser. Nothing to install.
- An email address for your download link.
Know before you buy
- Tested on a Mac. Use on Windows, and exports opened in Excel on Windows, have not been tested yet.
- Not tested against a live Ariba account. Check an upload file with your own process before you rely on it.
- The visible PDF correction makes a marked copy with replacement text. It is not secure redaction, not lossless PDF editing, and it does not keep digital signatures.
- A lost backup password cannot be recovered.
